Soft Switch by
OWA Platform
Sieneon started Soft Switch research in 1997 when it proposed the
concept of PDM (packet division multiplex) by integrating the networking
and switching together. In 2000, Sieneon proposed the Software Defined
Modules for its common access point platform for the PDM networks powered
by Open Wireless Architecture (OWA) systems. This soft-switch concept had been applied for
4G base-station
projects and implemented the wireless access point platform for the OFDMA infrastructure. Currently, Sieneon is applying it into the
5G and 6G OWA (open wireless architecture) infrastructure with optimal resource
management throughout the whole networks.
